But also for Madagascar, which we saw today. i decided it was time for a little sanity break, so the kids and i piled into the car and headed to the mall. we had a great time and enjoyed the movie, it was pretty good.
it was good to get a little break. lately i feel as though i'm running this marathon and everyone is speeding past me to get to the finish and i am just taking a snail's pace. the time is going by way too fast!
i really wish toenail was here already, but that would mean the movers would have come and gone and we'd be leaving in a week.
Darci has been lending an extra hand when she can, in between all of her chaos.

Crazy Hectic

is the best way to explain these days, present and to come.
so many things going on at the same time, my head is just spinning.
movers coming on wednesday and thursday, hopefully i can get things partially
organized by then. trying to maintain sanity between conferences, maintenance appts,
squadron and school activities, doctor appointments, UGH!
oh and Nona's black eyes are fading sorta.
well, back to the grind...

Halloweenies

We had plenty of fun and CANDY tonight. Oh yes, i think the sugar rush has worn off, cause everyone is crashed out.

Lots of tricking and treating this evening. Let's just say Mo gets a little taste, for once. I don't think anyone really pranks her, especially after Heathen left. Yet Mo manages to tag us all when it comes down to the Air Force vs Army football games. She did it up good tonight, i'm sure there will be pictures and bragging about all her mischief. But this year there's a little change from the norm. I figure since it's my last year here and all, i'd give her a little extra laugh. I don't think she'll be expecting it. Like i said no one pranks her much.

It was nothing big, just a sign.....

Oh, and some packing peanuts shoved in her doorway, no pics of that cause it wouldn't have made any sense.

free stuff

anyone need or know anyone who needs a used washer and dryer? apparently we aren't bringing ours with us and it's not going in storage. i was promised a new set when we return to the states. you can take them as early as dec. 10, that way i can get one last load in. not sure if airmans attic will take them, but i would hate to bulk trash 'em cause they work fine.
let me know they'll be here.
so far that's the goods, there's other random stuff to be rid of but i haven't tackled the basement yet. that will be a whole other battle i am not looking forward to.

it's much closer than i thought

oh. my. GOSH! i can't believe it, it seems more real now than before. we have TMO dates, *gasp* and three of them for that matter, ugh.
the first set of things will leave a week before thanxgiving, that's for storage. then Dec 8 for the stuff that's going with us (will take 2 months to get there). then Dec 9 the stuff that we will need right away, which will go by plane and cannot exceed 875 lbs.
so i'm packing, packing and packing.

oh and while i was on the phone (for 30 min) with toenail, discussing all these issues and such, rinoa decides to do this:

i was having a difficult time with sending vdo clips thru e-mail. so i did the next obvious thing, make a you tube account!
so here it is VIYADAH

i will have to play with it more later, but for now i can share vdo clips, with little frustrations.
now if only i can find a website that helps with clearing my mind and getting my head out of my ars.

a visit from uncle mike

We had a nice visit from Uncle Mike. the kids had such a great time and didn't want him to go home. we miss him already. maybe he'll come back for thanksgiving.
so, uncle mike got a little taste of parenthood and he will never be the same again. my favorite funny moment; uncle mike, "I've been here 48 hours and I'm exhausted!"
when he said that all i could do was laugh.

something else he said, "I thought i knew patience, but this is a whole other level of patience i didn't know exhisted."
A little history; i've only met uncle mike one other time, about 6 years ago, for about 3 hours. so when he wanted to visit, i was like, "are you sure?" I didn't know what to expect, so i kept my mind open and had no expectations except to have a good time and make him feel welcome. I didn't put on the goody-goody mask, cause i don't have one. i was just my boisterous, eccentric, nutty self. wonder why my kids are the way they are? well, there ya go. he was in for an unusual experience in the Johnson home.
He didn't seem to mind and he fit right in as though he belongs here. uncle mike even made comments about him being a reserved person and usually kept to himself. yet, he felt at home opening himself up around us. i was happy to know he could unwind a little.

OFF THE SUBJECT:
why does everything break at once?? UGH i have NEVER, EVER, EVUH, EVUH, EVUH had the kind of technological eruption of defectiveness as i've had the last couple of weeks. WHHHHYYYYY?!?!?!?
even mikey's new laptop, brand new, didn't last a week!!!! WHAT THE HECK?!?!
crapped out motherboard on another computer and can't even install a printer on any of them! regoshdarndiculous. and it's not like we are a family lacking of computers, we have 5 to speak of and 6 if you count the one i just gave away. SO, it's not like we don't know a thing or 12 about technology.
okay, things will look up, i know they will.
i'd like to give a shout out to mai girl, Mo, happy butt-day!

turns out...

there was some packing left in my sinus cavities. i blew my nose and some material the shape of a stick of chewing gum came out. so that's the reason for my fevers, infection and the crappy way i've been feeling. today, i go in and see a doctor, not my normal doctor, but at least they can check what's going on. hopefully i don't have anymore in there, but i don't think that's the case.
i talked to emily last night, she says i could have had a very bad out come from the foreign objects left in there. it could have caused an abscess in my brain and i could die. that always sounds great coming from a nurse.
we shall see.

my workings not brain...

things are wrapping up to normal, at least for around here. i'm feeling alright not great but, okay. i may have to go back in to see the doc a little earlier, i guess i'm not where i should be in the healing process. i feel okay tho, i'm not in agonizing pain, so that's good.
leelan has helped so much, i'm glad things worked out and she made it here. i got to slack a little more than i would have then if she wasn't here.
everyone is well, unchanged. not sure if that is good or bad, but it's not different so that's good i guess.
i want to add more thoughts, i know i have some, but i'm feeling kinda brain dead at the moment.
